IOM -  Support for Ukrainian refugees with disabilities

Project goals:

• To pilot a cash-based support program for disadvantaged refugees from Ukraine, who are unable to work due to their disability.

• To support caregivers of refugees with disabilities with the aim to strengthen their resilience.

• To connect and support NGOs helping refugees from Ukraine, to inform them about available support mechanisms and services for disabled people.

This pilot project will help clarify the needs of disabled refugees, which will help provide better services and support advocacy efforts aiming to improve the system of state support for refugees with disability.The cash-based intervention will help cover a bridge period before more systematic solutions are introduced on the government level.
